Southville’s newest residential development will launch its show home at the end of this month giving people the opportunity to buy into a piece of Bristol’s heritage. Situated in the heart of Southville on Raleigh Road, The Cigar Factory is part of the old W.D. & H.O. Wills tobacco factory site with the building itself dating back to the 1900’s.

The conversion of the landmark building will comprise of 19 exclusive one, two and three bedroom high specification apartments and duplexes situated around a central atrium. A superb glass roof lantern will flood the building’s communal areas with light.

Ellson Homes, the company converting the old factory into a stunning residential development will retain aspects of the buildings character and features. The original factory staircase is expected to be the focal point and exposed brickwork will be present in the entrance and a selection of the apartments too. The apartments themselves are expected to be finished to a superb standard with high quality fixtures and fittings. Each apartment will feature a handleless kitchen with corian worktops and Neff integrated appliances, bathrooms with Duravit sanitaryware and tiling by Mandarin Stone. The living spaces will also include Karndean plank flooring.

We are confident that The Cigar Factory would be a desirable place to live for quality professional tenants and within our top picks this week we have selected 2 of the current plots on the market. With prices starting at £194,950 for 1 bedroom apartments, £229,950 for 2 bedroom apartments and £272,500 for 3 bedroom apartments this exclusive development is expected to be popular with investors.

International Cricket comes to Bristol

Sunday 24th September sees Bristol’s Brightside Ground host a Royal London One-Day International fixture between England and the West Indies.

Stars of the world of Cricket such as Joe Root and Chris Gayle are set to go head to head in front of an expected sell-out crowd at the home of Gloucestershire in what is being dubbed as the biggest match in the South West this summer.

England will be confident heading into the fixture having swept aside the West Indies when they met earlier this year in the Caribbean as part of a three match ODI series. On this occasion England took a comfortable 3-0 series win.

The last few tickets are on sale for the hotly anticipated fixture and can be found here.

Come on England!!
